Story
This October, UW Netball is coming together to take on a huge challenge: as a club, we’ll be running, walking, cycling, and moving as far as we can to reach a minimum combined total of 2000km, all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer is a cause that’s very close to our hearts. We are doing this not only for the thousands of people affected every year, but also for our mums, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, friends, and teammates who have fought, are fighting, or may one day face this battle.
By pushing ourselves to go the distance, we want to raise both awareness and vital funds for research, treatment, and support services. Every kilometre we complete represents determination, strength, and solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer.
Our goal is big, but so is our motivation. With your help, we know we can smash 2000km and raise money that truly makes a difference. We will be tracking our distance on our UWNetball Strava Page, and giving weekly updates on our tracking.
Please support UW Netball by donating whatever you can. Every pound, every share, and every word of encouragement helps us move one step closer to a world where breast cancer can be beaten for good.
💗 Together, we’ll go the distance, and together, we can fight breast cancer.
