We are students at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), and as part of one of our university projects, my friend and I wanted to create something that would make a real difference beyond the classroom.

Instead of completing a project that ends with a grade, we chose to support a meaningful cause by raising funds and awareness to help reduce the impact of single-use plastic on our environment.

We are proud to be supporting Hubbub, a charity that inspires practical, positive action to create a greener and more sustainable future. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental challenges facing our planet, affecting our oceans, wildlife, and future generations. Through this campaign, we hope to encourage people to make small changes that can have a lasting impact.

Our fundraising goal is £200, and every donation—no matter how small—will help support Hubbub’s environmental initiatives while also helping us demonstrate how education and community action can come together to create positive change.
