I am honoured to have the opportunity to run the 2026 London Marathon in aid of Concern Worldwide. Their mission is to end extreme poverty, whatever it takes. Their teams on the ground are working together with people living in the most difficult situations, transforming lives, livelihoods and communities.

Each year their specialist teams work with 25 million people, across 25 countries, supporting people living on less than $2 a day, from war zones in Gaza, Syria and Somalia to devastating floods in Bangladesh.

They are ready to respond to ensure that people's basic needs are met when disaster strikes.

I know I’m not alone at feeling upset and horrified at the terrible conditions – particularly hunger - in countries around the world as a result of conflict and environmental catastrophes. I have travelled extensively and have witnessed poverty first hand and as an individual I have felt helpless to do anything practical to help. I first came across ‘Concern Worldwide’ when two of my friends ran for them at the London Marathon in 2025. I was inspired by their amazing effort and I was also inspired by the charity for which they were running. I now feel that I can do something practical after all. I have been increasing my running this year with the 2026 London Marathon in my sights, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to not only run the London Marathon but also to raise much needed funds and awareness of Concern Worldwide.
