Story
Myself and Paul have decided to run the half marathon together for pancreatic cancer.
In August when Mags and Sam (my parents) came to meet our gorgeous son in Australia for the first time dad wasn’t feeling very well. After a few days we encouraged him to go to hospital and our world got turned upside down when he got the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer with mets. The trip was cut short and they flew home. After a very short, heart breaking 12 weeks dad died at home on the 2nd of November. We managed to be there for 7 of the weeks with him and he got to be with Myles.
Dad was the funniest, kindest and most generous man and he has left such a massive hole in so many lives. Hopefully we can make him proud and raise some money for an absolutely horrible disease.
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
