š¬š§My name is Valters Davids Ostrovskis, I am 20 years old and I study International Relations and Development at the University of Westminster in London.
In August, I will volunteer in various villages throughout the mountainous region surrounding Pokhara, NEPAL, together with Travelteer helping develop education, infrastructure and agriculture in these mountainous communities.

Nepal is home to nearly 30 million people. Sadly, 20% of Nepalese citizens are living in poverty which rates Nepal as the 5th poorest country in Asia!
In order to help the local population of these mountainous villages more effectively, we need your financial help! Every participant is asked to fundraise Ā£300 before leaving for Nepal. 100% of all the funds will go directly towards the cost of the materials to:
1. Unlock the potential of underprivileged children in rural communities by building schools and teaching them essential subjects
2. Rehabilitate and regenerate the local environment by cultivating the land and building greenhouses
3. Protect and repopulate indigenous wildlife
This fundraising organised by Travelteer has already had a significant impact on the communities they work with, whether that be through new school facilities, teaching, agriculture or the commitment to the national 'One Child, One Light' Scheme that provides children with reading lights to continue their studies after sunset.
Any money over the Ā£300 will go towards the travel cost of my return flight (Ā£1256).
Any surplus money exceeding the cost of my flight will be donated to Travelteer to further their charitable causes!
