Last year, I did the London to Brighton Cycle Ride (55 miles) for Help 4 Forgotten Allies (H4FA) education project which has been running at one of the refugee camps at the border between Burma and India. Many thanks to your generous donations and with the help from H4FA, we have now been able to build a primary school. We called this “Phoenix School” and currently 70 primary students (who are all refugees). H4FA also runs night school at one other refugee camp, this project started with 75 students in 2022 and currently at 220 students. The increase is due to the good work of volunteers and also sadly as refugee numbers are increasing due to the more intense on-going conflict.

We are still in need for the running of these two schools so I will be doing the following events this year.

1) Le Petit Depart - (Yorkshire Dales Sportive) on 2nd June 2024. The event includes 80 miles (~6000 total elevation gain) sportive route which follows much of the 2014 Tour de France stage 1 route.

2) Coast to Coast on bike ride from 14-17th June 2024. 185 miles from Whitehaven to Whitby over three days.

3) Captain Cook Sportive – 6th July 2024. 100 miles sportive starts from Middlesbrough Football Stadium and through some of the notorious mountains in the North Yorkshire.

4) Middlesbrough 10K on 1st September 2024

A few more events in September which I haven’t decide. I will update them later here.
