Hi!

My name is Vanessa and I've decided to take part in a boxing event which is being held on the 23rd August in my town!!!Eeeeekkk!! Luckily the guys who are setting it up are helping train us aswell!! Which is needed!! Lol

I have decided to try and raise as much money and awareness for this charity ERDAT as it's something close to me. This charity hasn't personally helped me but it's doing its best to help as many people as it can, and I wanted to see if I could help a smaller / independent charity!

They're a small organization who are the last point of call for help for women, men and children in need.

I don't like to call ust 'survivors or victims' we are WARRIORS!

What is East Riding Domestic Abuse Trust (ERDAT)?

We are a small local charity set up in 2003 dedicated to support local individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse. We want those surviving domestic abuse to know they are not alone, they have not been forgotten and there is financial help available to enable them to move on in their lives. We raise money through grants, donations and fundraising activities.

Our Purpose

We provide funding for urgently needed items and essentials to those who have fled domestic abuse, live in the East Riding of Yorkshire and cannot access other funding.

We raise awareness of domestic abuse.

What do we fund?

Cookers, fridges, washing machines, tumble dryers, carpets, beds, hoovers, safety alarms, school uniforms and more.

Who do we work with?

We work closely with, and receive all our referrals from, the East Yorkshire Domestic Violence and Abuse Partnership (DVAP), who request funding on behalf of their clients for urgently needed items that cannot be funded in any other way..
