I am so excited and honored to share that I will be running the Chicago Marathon in 2026 to raise funds for the Esperanza Health Centers!
This Chicago organization was founded to provide bilingual, high-quality, and affordable care to underserved, predominantly Latino communities, regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status.
Today, Esperanza supports over 50,000 patients each year across seven sites, thanks to a team of more than 400 passionate staff members. By offering comprehensive services, including adult and women’s health care, pediatrics, behavioral health, and wellness programs, Esperanza ensures every patient can receive care for whatever health needs arise.
Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, I’ve personally seen how access to affordable and quality health care can make a life-changing difference for families, including my own. For that reason, I am excited to have the opportunity to pay it forward through fundraising.
As for the marathon, this has been a lifelong dream. From volunteering at the finish line delivering marathon finishers their well-earned medals to spectating with my cross country college teammates, this is an event I look forward to every year. Being able to run this race now, in the city that raised me and in support of a cause so deeply connected to communities like mine, feels like a full-circle, dream-come-true moment.
