As many of you will know my son Daniel was diagnosed with autism and as his mam I am committed to giving him the best possible future. This includes fundraising to support Mencap who provide all kinds of services and programmes to support people with a learning disability.

After taking on One Big Walk in January, I wanted to continue to challenge myself. So I decided to pull in my trainers and start the couch to 5k! 🏃‍♀️

And if that wasn’t enough I decided to keep my motivation I would sign myself up to the Active Sunderland 3k in May and Great North 5k in September.

I’m sure you will know I’m not a regular runner and although a 5k may seem small to some it’s a challenge for me!
