Story
I have decided to give up to give back to St Raphael's Hospice. I will be donating what I have saved back to the hospice and hope to raise additional funds through sponsorship. Your encouragement really can help me reach my goal and keep me away from temptation!
St Raphael's Hospice strive to improve the lives of those affected by terminal or life-limiting illnesses, giving them and their carers the confidence to cope and enjoy the best quality of life possible.
The Hospice needs £6.5 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations, legacies and fundraising to keep going. Thanks to the generosity of the public, they are able to make an enormous difference to the lives of 1,000 terminally-ill patients every year. St Raphael's are not state-funded, even though every one of their patients is a NHS patient. They only receive about 25% of their costs from the NHS and the remainder, more than £4.8 Million per year, they need to raise themselves.
