Story
A few years ago, we made a conscious decision at Pond Square Dental to make a greater effort to give back to the community.
We are fortunate to work in a profession that allows us to help people every day, but there are many people who simply cannot access the dental care they need.
Dentaid works to change that, providing dental care to vulnerable people in the UK and overseas. This includes people experiencing homelessness and poverty, as well as survivors of domestic violence and abuse — an area of their work that is particularly close to my heart.
Next week, I will be joining around 45 other dentists on a charity cycle ride to raise money for Dentaid.
Over five days, we will ride 500 miles and climb 11,000 metres.
I have been training for this for several months and, despite that, I have little doubt that there will be moments when I question the wisdom of signing up!
I have paid the costs of taking part myself and have also made my own donation. I would now like to raise as much as I possibly can for Dentaid before we set off.
I would be enormously grateful for your support.— and wish me luck.
