I am running the Hackney Half Marathon 2026 as it was one of my new year resolutions to get more fit and do more Half marathons this year .

Over the years Laburnum Boat Club has provided many opportunities for me to travel abroad, compete in national Slalom races across the United Kingdom, and allowed me to win two gold medals in the London Youth Games for my borough Hackney as well as take me on an expedition to Nepal.

As a small children's charity, Laburnum Boat Club provides opportunities for the personal development of young people and their families in the local community through participation in a range of water-based activities.

They aim to be a positive force for changing lives in a safe and supportive environment and target disadvantaged, disabled, and vulnerable young people.

By providing affordable and accessible activities that challenge, motivate, and include, the Boat Club supports young people to reach their full potential.
