I'm so excited to go on this journey with Spark Circus this January. This will be my first humanitarian project within circus, and it means a lot to me. I've been in love with hula hooping and circus arts for the last eight years, and it’s genuinely changed my life, bringing me joy, confidence, and connecting me to community through the art of play.

I really believe that for children, having a space where they can feel safe, be silly, and just be kids is incredibly important, especially when they’re dealing with difficult circumstances.

What’s even more incredible is that this year Sparks have a space we’ll be transforming into an epic circus home, a place where children can come together, learn, play, and most of all, have fun. A space that can grow into a long-lasting, permanent community for them.

After 15 years of Spark Circus working in this community, the team behind Stardust are finally able to take over a permanent space and transform it into a vibrant circus home. Local partners, youth groups and organisations have welcomed this project with open arms.

For many of the young people involved — including those who have escaped the Burmese civil war — Stardust offers something deeply important: a safe, joyful place where they can rebuild confidence, feel part of a community, and experience moments of pure fun and freedom.
