A 5k festive fun run (or walk) to raise funds for local mental health services
Story
Mental health matters - especially from a young age!
My dad, who passed away in October 2025, lived with congenital heart failure, and the challenges he faced had a profound impact on his mental health.
After leaving a cozy job in finance, I moved to London to follow my passion for dancing, singing and acting, and working with young people - and it’s been an incredible journey! For the past 13 years, I have worked in mental health and SEN has allowed me to help children and young people flourish and discover their own spark.
I also speak from personal experience: Having developed an eating disorder as a young dancer, and having faced depression and anxiety, I now find myself in a place of happiness and contentment, prioritising wellbeing and doing things that sparkle joy and spread joy wherever possible.
I will be lacing up my trainers and taking part in a festive fun run on Sunday 7th December to raise money for mental health services in the borough of Richmond.
Richmond Borough Mind provides essential mental health services to those who need support in the local community. Every pound raised helps Richmond Borough Mind reach more people and ensures no one faces mental health challenges alone,
Please donate whatever you can afford and don't forget to add Gift Aid if you are eligible (so that Richmond Borough Mind receives an extra 25p for every pound donated at no extra cost to you).
