UPDATE

Thank you all so much for your support!

It was such an honour to participate and doing it for the elephants was the cherry on the cake for us 🍒

You can still donate to the cause in this page!

In April 2026, we’re taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon—for a cause that is deeply close to our hearts…and we are doing in 3 rather than just 2!

After finding out I was pregnant, I was heartbroken to say goodbye to the race as we were both training so hard for it.

Thankfully, they allowed me to walk instead of running and so…at 5 months pregnant, me, baby and Miguel will be walking 21km in aid of these beautiful creatures we call elephants.

Baby doesn’t know yet but he/she is already playing a part in saving elephants.

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is one of Africa’s most respected conservation charities, renowned for rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants and rhinos—many left motherless due to poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. But their work goes far beyond rescue: they also lead anti-poaching efforts, run mobile vet units, protect habitats, and support local communities.

Every donation helps provide life-saving milk, round-the-clock care, and—most importantly—the chance for these animals to return to the wild.

Why should you donate and care about these animals?

If you are an animal lover, that is an easy answer. For those that are not so keen on animals like us, here is why:

Elephants and rhinos are more than just iconic animals—they’re keystone species, meaning they play a vital role in keeping entire ecosystems healthy.

Elephants shape the landscape: they create water holes, spread seeds, and open paths that countless other animals rely on.

Rhinos help maintain grasslands, which support biodiversity and store carbon, fighting climate change. So, by helping these animals, you are also saving the planet!

These giants are under threat. Every year, elephants and rhinos are orphaned due to poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. Without help, most orphaned calves would not survive.

That’s where the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust steps in:

✅ Rescue & Rehabilitation – orphaned elephants and rhinos receive life-saving milk, round-the-clock keepers, and the chance to return to the wild.

✅ Anti-Poaching Patrols – boots on the ground protect animals from harm.

✅ Mobile Vet Units – provide urgent care to injured wildlife.

✅ Community Outreach – empowering local people to live alongside wildlife sustainably.

💚 Your donation directly funds this work. That means more orphaned calves growing up strong, more herds roaming free, and more communities working hand-in-hand with nature.

By donating, you’re not just giving money—you’re giving hope, protection, and a future to some of the world’s most vulnerable animals and the planet.

Every life matters. Every donation counts. Thank you for helping us make a difference and run the half marathon for them.
