Story
In October 2024, a Leon’s diagnosis of a brain tumour changed everything. Following surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and enduring 33 sessions of radiotherapy, the journey has been incredibly challenging. Sadly, the signs of this tumour were misdiagnosed for far too long, highlighting a critical need for increased awareness and research funding.
Brain tumour research currently receives just 1.37% of national spending on cancer. At this rate, it could take a staggering 100 years for brain cancer to catch up with advancements in other diseases and find a cure. This is particularly alarming as brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among children and adults under the age of 40.
On March 22, 2025, we will participate in "The Twilight Walk London 2025" to raise awareness and funds for this vital cause. This event is not merely a walk; it serves as a beacon of hope for those bravely battling this devastating illness. The Brain Tumour Charity is dedicated to fighting brain tumours through research, raising awareness, and providing support.
We invite you to join us in this important mission. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the fight against brain tumours. Every donation counts, no matter how small, and is deeply appreciated.
