Story
Hello, I’m Florence Garrett, and I am part of the National Down Syndrome Policy Group (NDSPG) Advisory Group. On March 19, 2026, we will hold our second National Down Syndrome Summit — a special day where people with Down syndrome come together to speak, lead, share ideas, and shape the future for people with Down syndrome.

We’re incredibly grateful to A & O Sherman for once again hosting the conference. Their continued support means the world to our community.
However, for many of us, attending the Summit remains financially out of reach — and that’s why I’m setting up this page.
As Chair of the NDSPG Advisory Group, I want to make sure that everyone who wants to attend can attend. That includes those who need support with travel, accessibility, and other costs involved in taking part.
We are a group of self-advocates, and we believe in equal opportunity to contribute. Every voice matters. Every member deserves to be heard.
Our first Summit was a wonderful day where people felt valued, respected and included. We want to make the 2026 event even better, with more opportunities for self-advocates to speak up and make a difference.
Your donation will help cover: travel costs, accessibility support, Easy Read materials and practical costs for the day
Every contribution helps make sure that we can all be there — learning, leading and representing people with Down syndrome across the UK. Thank you so much for your support.
