This June, join thousands of others who will be taking on a Pink Ribbon Walk and help fund life-changing research and support.

Story

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2024, from my first routine mammogram. It was a complete shock as there was no "lump", and it feels like my life went on hold.

Now my surgeries are over I've begun the journey of living as a breast cancer survivor, re-learning how my body looks and feels, and knowing my limits. Last year ten miles would have been easy - this year it will be hard. I am walking so that other people can access the support and treatment that I have received.

I'm also walking in memory of my dear Nanna.

As well as my amazing nurse (Harriet), I found the Breast Cancer Now website and telephone support invaluable for advice and information. After my initial treatment I accessed their Moving Forward support group, which was really helpful, so I want to give something back.

I'm taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk to help Breast Cancer Now fund their world-class research and life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer.

By 2030, its estimated that 1.2 million women will be living with the disease. Breast Cancer Now are uniting to make life-saving discoveries and are here to offer expert support to anyone, the whole way through their breast cancer experience. But they cant do it alone.

By sponsoring my Pink Ribbon Walk you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of breast cancer. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
