Story
As every other year, I will be running the London Royal Park half marathon on 12 October to support child cancer research. I do it in support of my dear friends Caro and Ben whose son Gaspard was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma pelvic cancer in 2018.
Gaspard went through numerous cycles of chemotherapy over two years, but luckily he was able to fight hard enough to get better - he is now a great boy with very few little secondary effects from the treatment.
His family is blessed, but many others lost a child to this cancer. With a group of over 50 friends, we are raising money for Alice's Arc, the amazing charity who has supported them through this experience.
This year will be a real family effort, with the 5 of us running the 5k 'Race for Kids' event the day before the half marathon!
