At the end of last year my brother was diagnosed with a form of head and neck cancer and undertook months of gruelling treatment at The Royal Marsden.

Sadly, as so many other have had to face first hand, it is awful to watch and feel helpless when someone you love so much is going through something so horrific and there is little you can do.

My brother was fortunate though to have access and be treated at the Royal Marsden, a world leading cancer centre, with incredible care and support for patients. This is why I have ran the Royal Parks half marathon, to help raise funds and continue to support the work being carried out at the Royal Marsden.

Your support will ensure nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, the Royal Marsden will continue to work and will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

My brother is now in remission.
