Story

💙💛 Memory of Josie Matheous 💙💛

The last week has brought a whole new meaning to running the London Marathon as a close family friend, my mums best friend and a nurse of 26 years from St Luke’s Hospice sadly passed away after a battle with cancer.

Josie was a lovely lady with the kindest of hearts and believe it or not had a love for animal print more than me!

With the permission from her family I will now be dedicating my Just Giving Page and Marathon to Josie, as a long serving nurse of St Luke’s Hospice who also benefited from the amazing nurses there, her friends!

This one’s for you Josie 🩷

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am privileged to have been chosen to represent St Luke’s Hospice in the London Marathon 27th April 2025.

St Luke’s has been a big part of my life since I was a little gir! I remember meeting Tudy Cox and buying a brick for £1 to help fund the first building then 30 years ago my mum started working there so I have lots of different memories.

I’ve also recently been on my own journey to loose weight and now I like to find ways to keep myself motivated and challenged. By entering the marathon next year I now have something to keep working towards.

I may not be the fastest of runners but I will give it my all but most off all I’m doing it to raise as much money for St Luke’s as possible.
