Story
I'm running (or possibly hobbling) the London Marathon 2026 to raise money for Family Holiday Charity—a fantastic organisation that helps families facing tough times get a much-needed UK break, often for the very first time.
Many of us are lucky enough to enjoy one or even several holidays a year. Meanwhile, most of the families this charity supports have never been able to go on a holiday at all. A simple few days away—by the sea, in the countryside, or just somewhere different—can make a huge difference, bringing rest, joy, and precious time together.
Now, you might be wondering why someone who spends more time lifting heavy weights than running would sign up for a marathon. Great question! Let’s just say I’ve swapped the dumbbells for running shoes (well, for now) in a bid to raise funds for this fantastic cause. And trust me, it's no easy feat! Lifting weights might work the muscles, but running 26.2 miles is definitely working my willpower. Bring on never ending miles of blisters, sweat, and probably some ugly crying (and that's just the training!).
If you can spare a few pounds, you won’t just be supporting me—you’ll be helping give families a break they truly deserve, a privilege I know I have taken for granted!
Thank you so much for your support and for helping make this journey a little easier!
