Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am embarking on a personal challenge this January, swimming 100 lengths in the pool. As a non-swimmer, this is no small feat for me, and I will be using a kickboard to assist me along the way. At the age of 26, I experienced a stroke that left me paralysed down my right side. Now at 59, I have had to relearn how to walk and talk, adapting my daily routine in ways I never imagined.

I recently started visiting P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery and love meeting other users and enjoying the activities they have on offer. Their services have been invaluable for anyone who has suffered a brain injury, providing guidance and assistance at every step of our personal recovery journeys.

I am raising funds with a target of £500 to support P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery in their mission to help others like me. Your generous contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by brain injuries. Together, we can ensure that vital resources continue to be available for everyone on their path to recovery.

Please consider supporting my challenge and this incredible cause.

David Lloyd has kindly provided me with a free guest pass for the duration of my challenge which I’m so grateful for. They are also allowing me go go in a practice too this month.
