Bex , Tracy and I are swimming the Henley Club to Pub and we are hoping to raise a few pounds for the The Deptford Ragged Trust while we are at it!!

The Deptford Ragged Trust, is the charitable trust of The Bear Church, which offers a place of refuge, learning, worship and community to local people in South East London.

We are continuing the work of one of London’s first ragged schools started by eight Christian men and women in 1844. The legacy is about creating community and addressing the impact of poverty on people's lives.

Our innovative building redevelopment, The Ragged Project, will deliver a community hub and socially affordable, supported housing for young people.

The building is so close to completion, with the flats fully occupied, some community activities and events already up and running, but we’re not quite over the finish line yet!
