Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 6th April I will be running the Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for Autistic Girls Network a small charity that provides incredible support to girls and young women with autism.

Four times as many boys are diagnosed autistic as girls. This is not an accurate picture. Frequently, for many reasons, girls are diagnosed later (on average up to 6 years later), missed or misdiagnosed, causing long term mental health problems with too many girls feeling too anxious to attend school as a result.

Everyday autistic children have to push themselves out of their comfort zones just to leave the house, got to school or work, commute or complete simple tasks such as taking public transport. The struggles they face has inspired me to push myself to complete a challenge and raise money to support this fantastic charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate.

Thank you for your support.
