Poplar, Blackwell and District Rowing Club is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the country, founded in 1854. Today the club runs as a charity and provides opportunities for many to enjoy rowing on the river Thames opposite Greenwich. The club is in desperate need of funding to repair the roof which currently has multiple holes and leaking water, but also funding to extend the clubs offerings.
The club has played an important role in our family life over the last 15 years and together with my husband Harry, we’re passionate about helping it survive for years to come and provide opportunities for the next generation.
The club has an enormous challenge ahead, requiring £500k to fund the works. Every penny raised is a step closer to this goal and we thank you deeply for any amount donated.
