Vicky's 2-Hour Charity Fun Fitness Event For Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice

Victoria Lakin is raising money for Sue Ryder

2 Hour Fun Fitness Event · 12 October 2025

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is in Oxenhope, near Keighley. As well as expert palliative care, they support people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Manorlands is close to so many hearts, including my own. They cared for my mum in the last few months of her life (in 2017 & 2018) and supported me and my family during this tough time. The hospice is invaluable for our community and does such incredible work.

I am hosting a 2-hour fun fitness event on Sunday 12th October 10am til 12pm at Sutton Village Hall, which shall be a mix of Badass Combat (Martial Arts To Music - Similar To Body Combat) and Zumba® Fitness (Dance Fitness). Whether you attend regular classes, have no experience at all, or have 2 left feet…no problem…. Everyone is Welcome!

Booking is required. To book please text me on 07702 904668. Also please contact me if you require more information or have any questions.

Please kindly support me by either:

- attending our fitness event by way of a £10 donation (in advance or pay on the door);

- picking up a sponsorship form from me, or from Eastburn Fitness Centre, and ask people to sponsor you to do the fitness event and get free entry;

- purchasing a raffle ticket in advance or at the event - £1 a ticket (this will be drawn after the 2-hour fitness workout);

- making a donation (if you are unable to attend the event) - no matter how big or small it is, it will be very much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!

Sue Ryder offers a range of support to people going through the most difficult times of their lives, from inpatient care in our hospice, to day services and Hospice at Home that help people stay at home longer and provide respite to carers. They also provide bereavement support, helping people manage their grief when they’ve lost a loved one. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters. Funds raised for them are always greatly appreciated.
