Story

I am running the Manchester Marathon 2026 in memory of my dad, Robert.

Last November (2024), on a normal Wednesday evening whilst in work, I received the heartbreaking news that my dad had suddenly passed away at work.

My dad was completely fine and I’d seen him that same morning. He died from a cardiac arrest.

The sudden loss of a parent is traumatising, heartbreaking and honestly the saddest day of my life. Someone so so close to me who I’d spent pretty much every other day with had suddenly gone forever.

My dad was the most kindest, loving, provider and protector for me, my sisters and my mum. He would have done anything for us. He was a massive Man City fan and followed them home and away when he was younger. He was the light in the room and would never fail to make us laugh.

I am a personal trainer but if you know me you know I absolutely hate running and have never ran more than 5k… But I am going to run every single mile for dad, and raise money to support others and improve the lives of those who have suffered from heart and circulatory diseases; because your cardiovascular health is crucial for a strong heart.

Any donations, no matter how small are truly appreciated. Thankyou for reading my story and supporting me and giving me a focus in a real tough time of my life.
