My name is Vicky and I have been the Oncology Counsellor at QEQM since 2020.

Working in cancer services is a challenge at times but is also incredibly rewarding. I love supporting patients through their cancer journey and being there for people at every step of the way.

In June I am walking from Carlisle to Newcastle along the Hadrian’s Wall path raising money for East Kent Cancer Services. This 84 mile coast to coast walk will take 5 days to complete and much like my work supporting patients, will also be a rewarding challenge!

All money raised will go directly to Cancer services to help improve the patient experience. This money is vital for improving the comfort and care of patients receiving treatment and supporting their recovery post treatment.
