Story
When I was 18, I was told I wouldn’t be able to run because of medical reasons. I’ve now proven that wrong by running the Chester Marathon in October 2025 and now training for the London Marathon this April.
But this journey isn’t just about me.
As a counsellor at St Luke’s Hospice, I see every day how vital our care is to local families. Since 1988, St Luke’s has provided compassionate, specialist palliative care that goes far beyond what the NHS can fund—from helping people live well with life-limiting illness to supporting children through grief and helping carers cope. Last year alone, we supported over 1,000 people—with services ranging from end-of-life care on our inpatient ward, to bereavement support, and even helping patients return to work after illness.
This work is only possible because of generous supporters and fundraisers. So I’m running for them. For the patients. For the families. For the community. If you can, please support my marathon journey and help St Luke’s continue making a difference when it matters most.
Thank you very much❤️
