Story
This year I decided to set myself a challenge of completing 2024 miles by either running, cycling, hiking or swimming in 2024, as well as reaching 24 peaks across the year.
To put this into perspective in both 2023 and 2022 I managed to cover less than 600 miles so this will be a huge step up this year.
I have a couple of events already planned which, with the training and events themselves, should help boost my mileage:
- Ride London 100 (May)
- London T100 (July)
- Vilnius, Lithuania Marathon (September)
As I sign up to more events and progress through the miles, I'll be updating this page to make sure I stay on track.
All of this is in support of Mind. Mind help people with mental health problems get the support they need and respect they deserve. If you would like to, and are able to, I'd love for you to donate to help support Mind.
I'm self-funding all of the registration fees for these events, the totals of which currently exceed £400, not to mention the costs of several pairs of running trainers (goodbye, feet), bike maintenance and the costs of coaching to get me through the events and year with minimal injuries. All money donated will therefore go directly to Mind to help support people with their mental health.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
