Victoria Allnutt is raising money for Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

We are Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, a charity providing critical medical care by land and air, across our communities. We’re here when you need us most. But we can’t do this without your help. As a registered charity, we rely entirely on donations and support from our local communities.

London Marathon - 26th April 2026

🚁 Why Wiltshire Air Ambulance?

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is one of those charities we all hope we’ll never need - but when the worst happens, when an injury or illness becomes life‑threatening, they are the ones who can make the difference between life and death.

What many people don’t realise is that this lifesaving service is entirely funded by donations. There is no NHS or government funding to keep the helicopter flying. And the cost of providing this critical care continues to rise:

• The charity’s annual running costs have increased significantly in recent years, rising from £4 million to £4.5 million a year due to fuel, training, and operational pressures.

• By 2025, Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance needed to raise over £5 million every single year to keep the service operational and meet record demand for missions.

• That’s more than £12,000 a day just to stay in the air and deliver frontline critical care when people need it most.

Every pound genuinely helps save lives.

🏃‍♀️ My Journey to the Start Line

If you’d told me two years ago that I’d be running one half marathon - let alone the Bath Half and the London Marathon, I would have laughed.

In early 2024, I ruptured my ACL in a skiing accident. It was painful, and completely life‑disrupting. I underwent a full ACL reconstruction in September 2024, and the months that followed were filled with rehab, frustration, grit, and a lot of determination.

Then in March 2025, at my final sign‑off appointment, my surgeon looked at me and said the words that changed everything:

“You can run a marathon now.”

I giggled and replied,

“Yeah, alright.”

But he’d planted a seed.

A few weeks later, on a whim - and maybe with a touch of madness - I entered the ballot for the 2026 London Marathon. As my family received their results, I sat anxiously refreshing my inbox. Then, just as I was heading out the door to the pub, the email arrived:

I was in! 😳😬🫣

From that moment, my journey truly began.

💛 Why I’m Running

I’m not running to be the fastest.

I’m not running for a personal best.

I’m running because I can, something I couldn’t say not long ago.

And I’m running to raise money for a charity that saves lives across Wiltshire, Bath, and beyond. A charity that any one of us might need one day, without warning.

I feel confident I’ll make it to the finish line, both in Bath and in London, and I’d love to take Wiltshire Air Ambulance with me every step of the way.

🙌 How You Can Help

Your donation, big or small, genuinely makes a difference. It keeps the helicopter flying, the critical care team responding, and families together.

Thank you for supporting me, supporting this incredible charity, and being part of this journey.

Let’s do something amazing together. 💛🚁🏃‍♀️
