Story
In 2018 my dear friend and colleague Davy Żyw was diagnosed with MND, a devestating disease that slowly robs you of your ability to move, swallow, and breathe. There is currently no cure, but it is not uncurable - it is just underfunded.
I, along with a handful of other colleagues (read mamils), am cycling across the Alps - from 'Beaune to Barolo' - in September, to raise money to find a cure. We have even added in an extra 500m so we can joyfully climb the same elevation as EVEREST. This is a serious challenge, but it is for the most serious and worthwhile of causes.
Davy has defied the odds by surviving far beyond the two-year average life expectancy. This time, he will not be riding alongside us - but he IS now trailing out for the GB Snowboarding team for 2026 Winter Paralympics, to be the first ever competitor with MND! This man is a true inspiration.
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation are helping fund promising clinical trials across the country. These trials are getting closer and closer to finding a meaningful treatment, and a cure for this life-stripping condition.
Every penny helps find a cure.
Thank you, thank you & thank you again.
