Story
This December I'll be running my first marathon - about a month before my 55th birthday. Training for this was the big target I set for myself in 2024. Anyone who's known me a while will realise running is not something that comes easily. But I am hugely grateful that I am able to keep finding and taking new opportunities well into middle age.
So this is a personal challenge, first and foremost. However, I'd also like to raise money for Mosaik Education, in the knowledge that millions of young people struggle to access any of the opportunities I've had.
Mosaik exists to help more refugees into higher education. Just 7 in 100 displaced and stateless people currently take part in university or formal further education. This is a tragedy: for them, for their communities, and for the future of the world. We need to stop squandering human potential, and disappointing and frustrating generations of young people.
So please donate as much as you can afford, and Mosaik will put your money to good use supporting the next generation. You may be helping the next Mo Farah, Rita Ora, or Madeleine Albright to become all they can be. Or maybe just an ordinary person who will take the opportunity to make a good life for themself and those around them.
