Victoria's fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK

Victoria Goodchild is raising money for Parkinson’s UK

Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Parkinson's UK is a charity close to my heart. They're a lifeline for people living with Parkinson's and their families, offering crucial support while also funding groundbreaking research into this debilitating condition.

Parkinson's entered my life during my high school years when my dad was diagnosed. I've witnessed firsthand the challenges it presents, not only for him but also for other loved ones who shared this diagnosis.

Currently, there's no cure for Parkinson's, and its causes remain a mystery. While the condition sadly progresses over time, research offers hope for understanding it better and, ultimately, finding a cure.

I'm taking on the Brighton Marathon to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK. My goal is to contribute to the search for a cure and to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by Parkinson's. Raising awareness about the condition is also a key part of this effort. Any donation, no matter the size, will have a positive impact. Thank you so much for your support!
