Story
Jumping for Hunnitots
Thanks for visiting my fundraising spot,
Where I question every life choice I’ve got.
For soon I’ll skydive — yes, from the actual sky —
Still unsure why on earth I agreed to fly.
I’m raising funds with pride and cheer,
For Hunnitots — a place I hold dear.
Our wish list’s longer than my nerves are strong,
(And that’s saying something… this leap feels wrong!)
But every pound you choose to spare
Helps boost the love we give with care.
SEN resources top the chart,
Tools that truly warm the heart.
Because every child deserves the chance
To learn, explore, and boldly dance.
Then comes the garden — my long-time quest,
A space where growing minds are blessed.
We aim to plant veg, create awe and wonder,
where children can play and friendships grow fonder
Hunnitots is my second home,
Where tiny feet and big dreams roam.
And though my team’s ideas are vast
Our budget simply doesn’t last
So here I am, preparing to fall
Out of a plane, no less – not cool
Now let’s discuss my issues with height,
Escalators in London give me a terrible fright
You won’t catch me up a ladder or sitting on a ledge,
But my minds made up, I’ve made a pledge
And yet here I am, skydiving for the children;
Facing my fears and showing devotion.
It’s mind over matter and courage over fear
What will possibly be a personal highlight this year.
It’s not just about jumping, there’s a weight issue too
I’ll work on shrinking… a pound or two.
Because nothing says “epic embarrassment”
Like being told, “Sorry love, the parachute can’t.”
So cheer me on, donate if you can,
Support this terrified-but-determined woman.
With wobbly belly, wobbly legs and a determination so bold
I’ll jump for Hunnitots, once I’ve been rolled out of the hold.
PS: Donate now… before I panic Google “how to fake a skydive”!
PPS: Sponsor me now, or forever wonder if I splatted. (I won’t… probably.)
PPPS: Remember — I’m jumping so the children can thrive… lets not be tight!!!
