I am "running" the London marathon as I have wanted to for a few years now and have never been lucky enough to get a ballot place. So I kept toying with the idea, should I do it for a charity instead and see if I get a place, though I was unsure if I wanted the pressure of trying to fundraise and train (its been a while since I've done any running)! Though, at the same time, I had a voice in my head saying just do it now! If you knew my mum, one of her favourite sayings was 'do it now' (just ask Dad lol). So, I thought stuff it, lets apply, whats to lose!

So I applied with WWF and crossed my fingers :)

Of course it has to be WWF! It's all for the animals, and mum was a massive animal lover especially the TURTLES, they were her favourite! I mean, despite not having her own turtle (which she 100% would have, if she could have) she had a couple terrapins that she rescued and a tortoise, so close enough really! Despite turtles being her thing, we still have hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of the ornaments she collected over the years and still find ourselves buying the unusual ones we see whenever we are out and about for her even though she is no longer with us ton see them, sometimes we just can't help ourselves, its a habit at this point.

This includes safeguarding the natural world, tackling climate change and enabling people to use only their fair share of natural resources. So together we can build a future where people and nature thrive, after all, they were here first...
