Story

As many of you will know my dad has a diagnosis of Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's. He is now in a care home in Cheadle, Staffs. This illness is horrible, and cruel - and as those of you with family with Alzheimer's will know, takes away the brilliant person they once were.

I grew up in the Peak District (Ilam to be precise!) and my dad would have us running up and down hills rounding up sheep - so undertaking a 26 mile challenge for him makes sense (somewhere in my brain).

Dad - I bet when I’m at the top of each hill I can see Longcote ☺️

I’m doing this 26 mile trek to raise funds for Alzheimer’s society to support them to keep helping and supporting families and those who have dementia.
