Story

As a surprise to many, I will be running Cheshire Half Marathon on Sunday 14th September. I’ve put in the miles, kept my legs shin splint free and now, with the support of many Sis gels, I’m ready to face the challenge.

I’m running to raise money for Dementia Matters in Powys, a brilliant local charity that works to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their families across Powys. The charity focuses on reducing loneliness, supporting carers, and creating dementia-friendly communities. From dance and art sessions to community listening campaigns and social cafés, they give people living with dementia the chance to stay connected, active, and supported. Every donation helps Dementia Matters in Powys continue this vital work and be there for families when they need it most.

I lost my grandpa to dementia a few years ago, and my other grandpa is sadly living with it now. So every mile (especially the tough ones) will be for them, and for the families affected by Dementia.

Any donation will mean the world. Thank you 💙 🏃‍♀️
