Walk for a Cure is a national initiative held during Children's Cardiomyopathy Awareness Month to increase awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic heart disease. Join Team CCF in September as we walk to raise awareness and hope for a cure.

Story

September is Children’s Cardiomyopathy Awareness Month, and I’m excited to Walk for a Cure with the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF). I’m joining other walkers from across the country to further CCF’s work and improve the lives of children with cardiomyopathy and their families. I know that my participation in this awareness walk makes a real difference to those affected by this chronic and potentially life-threatening heart condition.

This foundation has real meaning to me because cardiomyopathy affects my son Owen, who has restrictive cardiomyopathy. When a parent discovers that their child has an incurable disease like cardiomyopathy, it is a confusing and anxious time. CCF provides information, guidance, and emotional support to help families cope with their child’s unexpected diagnosis.

Join me as we #GoTheDistance for pediatric cardiomyopathy!
