Story
On May 4th, 2025, I will be taking on the Ultra X Ultra Marathon, an endurance race through the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. Known for its rugged trails and stunning scenery, this challenging course winds through the mountains with Loch Ness at its heart.
I’ll be running alongside my friend, Kerry Kirby, and with little long-distance running experience between us, this will be the ultimate test of our endurance.
I am raising money for The CATS Foundation.
A dear friend, Ally Maclay, and his wife, Simone, received devastating news—their daughter, Freya, has been diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease, an extremely rare genetic condition.
Freya’s diagnosis has been heartbreaking, but Ally and Simone have faced it with remarkable strength and resilience. With no cure currently available, every bit of support can make a real difference—whether by helping with medical costs, providing specialised care, or funding crucial research into rare genetic disorders. You can read more about beautiful Freya here,
Ultra X Scotland is no easy feat, but knowing that this challenge will contribute to such an important cause makes every step worth it. Your generosity, no matter how big or small, will directly impact Freya and her family, providing them with much-needed support and hope for the future.
Thank you for your kindness and support—it truly means the world.
