Story
Caoimhín, our little hero 🦸
On October 25th, myself & Tori are taking on the challenge of Dublin marathon for Little Hero’s, they are the charity for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Belfast & we are doing it for my son Caoimhín.
In April 2023, Caoimhín suffered a life changing burn. Having spent several weeks in the Royal, both in PICU & Paul Ward, countless surgeries, clinics, honestly what this wee man has went through is more than any grown adult could face but Caoimhín does it with a cheeky smile & pure bravery. He continues to show us all how resilient he is & goes from strength to strength.
To show our appreciation & thanks for all the support, care & love we get in the Royal Children’s Hospital we want to raise vitals funds for Little Hero’s. They provide so much support & resources for children, their families, equipment for the hospital & so much more.
So we are putting our running abilities to the test over the next 10weeks, clocking the miles & eating the pasta. No doubt Caoimhín will be cheering us on & shouting ‘go faster 😂’ I must remember that one when we get to mile 20 in Dublin 🫣 IFKYK 😜 (Tori does not know, don't tell her)
Any donation big or small is appreciated more than you know.
By supporting Little Heroes, you will be helping to purchase vital new equipment to diagnose and treat the hospital’s young patients, to provide facilities and services for families to fund research into children’s illnesses whilst championing our ‘Big Heroes’ - the dedicated paediatric healthcare professionals at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
