We are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2023 in memory of our inspirational and much-missed brother, Simon Flynn. Si was the funniest and most supportive brother and uncle, and his death has left a huge hole in our lives. Si recognised the physical and mental health benefits of running, always encouraging others to join him and twice completing the London Marathon himself. So, we and 30 of Simon's friends and family are running the RPHM this year to raise funds for The Simon Flynn Educational Foundation, a charity we formed in his memory that helps continue the work he loved - supporting young people to learn.

Simon was passionate about giving all children the opportunity to become resilient, confident, and enthusiastic learners. The Foundation aims to continue this legacy. The Foundation partners with local schools in Gloucestershire, providing resources to help remove obstacles that may prevent children having the opportunity to learn and thrive.
