In Memory of Big Al ❤️

This year, I'm taking part in It's a Knockout to raise money for Dove House Hospice in memory of my amazing Grandad.

When Grandad needed them most, Dove House didn't just care for him, they cared for our entire family. They gave us the precious gift of time together, providing a private family room where my Grandma could stay by his side, and where my mum and I were also able to stay with him. They even made sure Maisie, our family dog, was welcome and cared for too 🐶 ❤️

The compassion, kindness and dignity they showed every single one of us is something we will never forget. During one of the hardest times of our lives, they made us feel supported, comforted and never alone.

What amazes me most is that Dove House Hospice can only continue providing this incredible care because of donations. The fact that such an essential service relies so heavily on the generosity of others is truly humbling.

So, on what would have been Grandad's birthday weekend, it feels only right that we celebrate his life by taking on It's a Knockout and raising as much money as we can to help Dove House continue supporting other families just as they supported ours.

Grandad would have wanted nothing more than for us to say thank you in a way that helps others.
