Story
I'm running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK!
Earlier this year my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and we are seeing first hand the devastating impact that this disease has on the person and the people they love.
My family, myself, my husband and my two daughters, care for my mum in our home, with the added support of my sister. It is this loving home environment that enables her to live her life with dignity, love and the constant support that she needs. I see first hand, on daily basis, how this disease robs people of their identity and how a once strong woman has become so dependant on others to support her in her daily tasks.
I am raising money so that one day we can all hope to see a cure for Alzheimer's and allow people to live with dignity and not lose their sense of self.
My mum is one in a million and I am running for her!
With your support, Alzheimer's research will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia.
Thank you for supporting me as I run 26.2 miles for a cure!
