Vikki's fundraiser for Helping Hanna's Community

Later this year I will be travelling to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia to work with Helping Hanna's Community - a small, UK charity set up to help the children of Ethiopia by supporting Holistic Opportunity for Humanity, (previously Hanna Orphans’ Home) a community-based project caring for around 200 children, their families and the wider community.
The charity began by caring for children who had lost both parents to HIV and AIDS, or whose living parents were just too sick to care for them; however, the care now extends to vulnerable children, parents, families, the elderly, and the wider community.

I will be travelling with a small group of volunteers from Bayes Business School to help teach at the community summer school. Bayes Business School (City St George’s University of London) have supported Hanna’s Community since 2009 and have so far raised over £100,000!
Money raised by Bayes volunteers has helped to provide tables and chairs for the classrooms and library, school supplies, new shoes and school uniforms for the children, pay rent on the children’s houses and ensure each child has their own bed to sleep in.
100% of donations will go directly to HOH.
