Rainbows Loughborough Firewalk 2025 · 8 July 2025 ·

They’re not just walking across fire – they’re stepping up for children who need it most. By sponsoring the 2025 Firewalk, you’re helping Rainbows bring comfort, care, and hope to babies, children, and young people with serious or terminal illnesses.

Story

Rainbows has been so supportive to me.

My babies Savannah and Sebastian were born on the 21.1.22. I suffered with a life threatening condition called HELLP.

HELLP stands for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, and Low Platelet count. It’s often confused with pre-eclampsia, but it’s far more severe. HELLP affects only about 0.2–0.6% of pregnancies and is life threatening.

I nearly lost my life that day. I feel lucky to be alive.

Sadly, some children just don't live long enough. Unfortunately my babies didn't survive.

Rainbows were critical in my healing by offering counselling for the loss of my beautiful children Sebastian and Savannah and also through the Rainbows Clinic bringing my baby girl into this world safely and without problems. They funded weekly appointments, constant check in's - to ensure my health was ok and my baby's. My rainbow miracle.

As the East Midlands only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. Their incredible team of people help relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.

Please take a look at their website www.rainbows.co.uk to see more about how your support will help families like me through the toughest times and you will be helping make precious memories.

Rainbows is a place where children can laugh, play and make every precious moment count, while families already bereaved are supported through the toughest times. Because of you and other supporters like you, a family will be able to make special memories they will cherish forever and bring a smile to their childs face as they laugh and play.
