Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page and taking the time to learn about a cause so close to my heart. We are fundraising for Remedi - Restorative Services as my friend and I prepare to take part in the Ultra Challenge Peak District Challenge 2026, a walk event happening on 4 July 2026.

Remedi is a charity I never imagined I would be connected with until my son was assaulted at school. The impact on him was profound and complex, especially as he is neurodivergent and already vulnerable. Following the attack, he faced school refusal, isolation, and severe mental health challenges including panic attacks. Through the police, we were introduced to Remedi's "Got Your Back" service and one of their dedicated mentors.

This mentor provided a safe space for my son—not just to talk about the assault but to process everything he was feeling and begin his journey toward healing. From fishing trips that brought moments of peace to crucial support during a much-needed school move when he reached crisis point, this ongoing support has been transformative. The mentor helped my son not just return to who he was before but grow into a young person who acknowledges his strength beyond victimhood.

What makes this service truly invaluable is that it is not time-limited; the mentor will continue supporting him for as long as necessary. Without this support from Got Your Back, I shudder to think where my son might be today.

This is why we are committed to raising as much money as possible—to ensure that Remedi can continue providing this vital service to young people who become victims of crime. These young people did not choose their circumstances, but with your help, they can be more than victims—they can reclaim their lives.
