Story
As some of you already know, this April, our world changed when our beautiful 4-year-old Grand daughter Avani was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Like so many families, we’re still learning to navigate this new reality of blood sugar checks, insulin injections, and the constant vigilance that comes with managing T1D.
That’s why I’m taking on the 400,000 Step Challenge this October and November – walking 10,000 steps a day for 40 days to represent the 400,000 people across the UK living with type 1 diabetes, including our little Avani.
Every £100 could pay for one person to be screened for type 1 diabetes, to help prevent un-diagnosed complications and save lives.
I’m taking part in The 400,000 Step Challenge for Breakthrough T1D fund vital research to cure, treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes .
The challenge starts on 6th October till 14th November 2025 ( World Diabetes Day ). You will be able to see my progress on this page daily after 7th October 2025
Thank you for your support, whatever you donate is really appreciated.
Together, we can help to cure type 1 diabetes!
