Vivace Voices is a Tilehurst-based choir for female voices. We enjoy singing a very eclectic range of music, and every term we perform a concert at which we raise money for charity.

This term our chosen charity is Berkshire Vision. This phenomenal local charity provides practical and friendly support, sport and activities to visually impaired children and adults, and their families in Berkshire. .

We need your help to raise money for Berkshire Vision so they can continue their vital work helping those with sight loss to develop confidence and independence and the skills to navigate the world with safety and ease. MEET LARISSA & ALEISHA

Larrisa and Aleisha are joyful, adventurous eight-year-old twins. Born with a rare genetic condition and twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, they live each day with sight loss, and a range of other health challenges.

For their mum, Liang, raising children with these needs has meant navigating countless obstacles in accessing care and resources. Over the years, support seemed scarce until they discovered Berkshire Vision, which transformed their lives.

Berkshire Vision offer transport for activities and events, enabling Liang to bring her girls to outings and support groups with a sense of security. "I never worry if I am with Berkshire Vision," she says, recognising how crucial these moments of community are, especially when she feels isolated.

For the twins, Berkshire Vision is more than just a charity; it’s an opportunity to experience life beyond their day-to-day limitations. They have enjoyed transformative experiences such as ice skating, boat rides, and animal therapy sessions—activities that bring joy into their lives while fostering social and cognitive development through new sensory experiences.

These invaluable moments allow the children to engage with the world in ways they would otherwise miss out on. Berkshire Vision serves as a lifeline that keeps families connected and supported. Without this vital resource, countless individuals facing similar challenges would miss out on transformative opportunities that make their lives brighter
